People getting dresed up in costumes to take part in the traditional carnival. Arizkun, Valey of Baztan (Basque Country) February 15, 2014. Traditionaly, in several villages in Baztan valley, 'Gizakunde' (day of men in Basque language) and Emakunde (day of women in Basque language) were celebrated just before the carnival. They have not been celebrated for many years, but in the 90's some cultural groups had the aim to recover them. Since then, they celebrate a mixture of those two days among the villages of Arizkun and Erratzu, and is named 'Gizakunde'. They recovered some traditional dances, costumes and figures as 'the bear'.
