A person dressed up in costume performs during the celebration of an ancient traditional carnival on January, 31st 2006 at the village of Zubieta, Basque Country. Joaldun groups take part in the carnival at the villages of Ituren and Zubieta carrying sheep furs and big cowbells on their backs to wake up the earth, looking for a good new year, a good harvest and to keep away the bad spirits..
