This group of volunteers is avoiding a serious humanitarian problem Irun, the Basque municipality on the border with Hendaye. As the number of migrants arriving on the coasts of southern Spain incresead, more and more migrants are heading north to the border city of Irun. French authorities have reacted by conducting random checks as far as the city of Bordeaux, more than 200 kilometers north of the border. Migrants who are caught are then deported back to Irun.
