People run on the 20th Korrika. Castejon (Basque Country). April 1, 2017. The "Korrika" is a relay course, with a wooden baton that passes from hand to hand without interruption, organised every two years in a bid to promote the basque language. The Korrika runs over 11 days and 10 nights, crossing many Basque villages and cities. This year was the 20th edition and run more than 2500 Kilometres. Some people consider it an honour to carry the baton with the symbol of the Basques, “buying” kilometres to support Basque language teaching. (Gari Garaialde / Bostok Photo)
